Peer Review Process
Peer review policy
The practice of peer review is to ensure that good science is published. It is an objective process at the heart of good scholarly publishing and is carried out on all reputable scientific journals. Our reviewers therefore play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the Journal of Nutrition Research and all manuscripts are peer reviewed following the procedure outlined below.
Initial manuscript evaluation
The Editor first evaluates all manuscripts. It is rare, but it is entirely feasible for an exceptional manuscript to be accepted at this stage. Articles which are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, have poor grammar or English language, or are outside the aims and scope of the journal will be sent to author within two days further revision. Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to at least 2 experts for review.
Type of peer review
This journal employs single blind review, where the reviewers remain anonymous throughout the process. Reviewers are matched to the paper according to their expertise. Our database is constantly being updated. We request suggestions for referees from the author though these recommendations may or may not be used.
The journal is published once in every year as per the decision taken in the first annual meet of the Indian Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, August, 4th, 2012.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
